CÔTES DE BOURG Maison Neuve Vintage


Situation: In the town of Teuillac, 6km from Bourg on Gironde.


Grape variety: 90% merlot 10% cabernet sauvignon


Soil composition: Very old vineyard, linked in history to that of cotes de Blaye. Chalckey willside and chalkey/boulder clay plains.


Vinification: Fermented in stainless steel tanks with controlled temperature by water erosion in the tanks. Fermented in 20-25 days. Aged in barrels for 5 or 6 months.


Tasting: Deep red colour. Very complexed on the nose with hints of vanilla, soft fruits, tobacco and leather. In the mouth there is an explosion of stewed fruits with a final persistence.


Drinking suggestions: It is preferable to open two hours before consumption and serve at temperature between 16-18°C. Drink with fine foods that are in need of support and cheese.
