CHÂTEAU PEYCHAUDCÔTES DE BOURG Traditional Vintage
Situation: In the town of Teuillac, 6km from Bourg on Gironde.
Grape variety: 90% merlot 10% cabernet sauvignon
Soil composition: Very old vineyard, linked in history to that of cotes de Blaye. Chalckey willside and chalkey/boulder clay plains.
Vinification: The fully matured grape undergoes 6 weeks of fermentation in vats. It is then matured, still in stainless steel vats, for 8 to 9 months depending on the vintage
Tasting: Supple and elegant thanks to its majority Merlot content, this wine made from the property’s young vines expresses its fruit particularly well due to maturing in vats. Fine wine with beautiful length on the palate making it the ideal companion for a lively meal.
Drinking suggestions: A true wine for traditional cuisine, from the main meal to the cheese.
