Germain-Saincrit : Passionnément Terroir

Winegrowers for six generations, the GERMAIN family has found its true raison d'être in the cultivations of vines and the fermentation, ageing and marketing of wines.

In the late 19th century, Vincent SAINCRIT, maternal great-grandfather of Bernard GERMAIN, consolidatd the foundations of the family. He handed down the memory of a man who was passionate, demanding and a perfectionist. From his original trade as a miller, this very great winegrower retained his love of the land, the terroirs and their characteristics. He cultivated vines with energy and passion, never hestitating to espouse new ideas an behalf of a wine of quality. He instilled deeply the GERMAIN family a spirit and know-how that was respectful of traditions.

All of our wines come from vineyards that are farmed with a sustainable management style. This means the vineyards are sheared every 3 weeks and that they receive a low level of treatment using biodegradable products. In addition our wines are filtrated without chemicals and sulfites are only used in extremely weak doses. As a result our wines reflect that natural elements specific of their terroir and grape varieties.
